About this coin.
The Silver American Eagle pairs a one-troy-ounce silver format with the Walking Liberty design. Liberty’s figure, flowing flag and extended arm create a composition quite different from the standing Liberty used on the gold Eagle. This is the silver bullion listing, separate from the proof-labelled product.
The U.S. Mint specifies 99.9% silver, a 40.60 mm diameter and a one-dollar face value. The reverse design changed during 2021, so older and newer issues do not have identical eagle artwork.
